"Lesbians Are Entitled To Read Trash" - Interview with Sarah Waters

Sarah Waters in Issue 3

"Lesbians are entitled to read trash as much as anyone else... So long as that's balanced by ambitious fiction as well, it's much healthier if there's a range of stuff."

Sarah takes time out of writing her current book Harm to speak to Naomi Young about being a 'lesbian author', connecting with her audience and the scary props used in the TV adaptation of Tipping.

"I'd always rather do a small gay event than a bigger more anonymous bookshop event."
